Investigation का आशय किसी विशेष उद्देश्य से किसी कम्पनी के Accounts book और उसके Financial Statements की जाँच करने से है हालांकि Auditing में भी इन Accounts Book की जाँच की जाती है पर वहाँ सिर्फ general checking की जाती है जिसमें यह जानने की कोशिश की जाती है कि सारे accounts Accounting के rules and regulations के according बनाये गए हैं या नहीं और ये Financial Statements Company के True & Fair View को show कर रहे हैं या नहीं जबकि इन Accounts Book की दोबारा किसी विशेष उद्देश्य से checking करना Investigation में आता है। Investigation में इन accounts book की या किसी particular area की deeply checking की जाती है ताकि जो errors और frauds हैं उसका भी पता चल सके और उसकी वजह को भी जान सकें जिससे कम्पनी में लगातार Loss होता जा रहा है।
Meaning Of Investigation In Hindi (अनुसन्धान का अर्थ) –
Investigation एक inquiry है पिछले कई सालों के Financial Statements की यह जानने के लिए कि Company की current या real Financial Position क्या है? या उसकी earning capacity क्या है? इस तरह से इन सारी चीज़ों को detail में जानना ही Investigation कहलाता है। जैसे कोई customer या कोई employee company को complain करते हैं कि company ठीक से work नहीं कर रही है या फिर Government को भी अगर लगता है कि इस company में Company Act को follow नहीं किया जा रहा है तो Government के through भी Investigation करायी जाती है इसके लिए वह अपनी team को भेजती है जो Company के सारे Accounts को check करते हैं।
Definition Of Investigation In Hindi (अनुसन्धान की परिभाषा) –
Investigation is a detailed examination of accounts and inquiry into the state of affairs of the business or for a specific purpose. It is conducted in deduction of suspected fraud and theft to identify cause for continuous loss and low economic position of the organization.

“The term investigation implies an examination of records for some special purpose.”
